Trent Reznor Scores Facbook film

A movie about Facebook movie? Really?  From Pitchfork:

The social networking craze is about to get a little dark and a little twisted as two masterminds of the sinister and malign have teamed up on The Social Network, aka, “The Facebook Movie.”  David Fincher (Se7en,Fight Club) has the directing process well underway, with Trent Reznor of NIN scoring the film.  Trent has had his hand in the film industry before, producing both the Natural Born Killersand Lost Highway soundtracks, but this will be his first time scoring an entire film.

Reznor’s longtime producer and programmer, Atticus Ross, has also partnered up to collaborate.  “When I actually read the script and realized what he was up to, I said goodbye to that free time I had planned,” says Reznor.  “Atticus Ross and I have been on a creative roll so I asked him if he wanted to work on this with me and we signed on. Months later, I’m happy to tell you we’re nearing the completion of this and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out. The level of excellence that David operates on is inspiring and the entire process has been challenging and truly enjoyable.”
